Pollywiggle is a delightful self-catering holiday cottage in North Norfolk and sleeps eight. Located in West Raynham, near Fakenham, it is ideally placed for Holkham, Holt, Blakeney, Sandringham, Thursford, Wells, Cromer, and the surrounding area.

It is an ideal location for cyclists and walkers. There is a bootroom for outdoor clothing and a cycle shelter for eight bicycles. There is a local bike hire company to suit all needs and offering various discounts for group bookings - see Useful Links for details.

The holiday cottage sleeps eight non-smokers in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, 12 miles from the North Norfolk coast and 130 miles from London with local airport link to Amsterdam from Norwich city.

This pretty brick and flintstone, semi-detached cottage wraps you in its rural comfort and character. Roses, wisteria and passion flowers weave across its south-facing walls from a secluded, mature and rambling garden.

The small pond is alive with tadpoles or "pollywiggles" in spring. This delightful retreat lies on the fringe of the small, tranquil village of West Raynham.

The market town of Fakenham is six miles away and offers shops, restaurants, pubs, bowling, golf and a race course. A wealth of attractions are within an easy drive including Castle Acre, Pensthorpe Wildfowl Centre, Thursford Steam Collection, Gressenhall Rural life Museum, Holkham Hall, the Royal Family's holiday home at Sandringham Estate, Little Walsingham Abbey, Wells (pictured below), the North Norfolk coastal steam railway and the Georgian town of Holt.

The 'Extreemeadventure' high ropes course and tall tree venture woodland is a 5 minutes drive from the cottage at Weasenham Woods.
There are excellent pubs and restaurants

Long, sandy, unspoilt beaches are 12 miles away at the small port of Wells-next-the-Sea. This is a coast where you can take a seal trip to Blakeney Point, walk the salt marsh paths at Stiffkey, visit bird-watching reserves at Titchwell or find fossils in the cliffs of Hunstanton.

Pollywiggle Cottage is a five-bedroomed accommodation comprising:

Downstairs: Entrance hall/bootroom. Beamed sitting room with multi-fuel wood-burner. Dining room with high chair. Well-equipped fitted kitchen. Bathroom/W.C. shower over bath.

First floor: two double bedrooms (one with 5' bed), two single bedrooms, one twin-bedded room with 2'6" beds, two travel cots, and separate W.C. with wash basin.

The following are included: all linen, duvets, towels, electricity and oil central heating and logs. Colour Digital TV, DVD / VHS player, stereo/CD player, telephone (incoming calls only), microwave, fridge-freezer and larder fridge, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, tumble drier. Parking for four cars. A shelter for eight bicycles. Garden with furniture and small portable barbecue. There is a small, unfenced pond (beware - parents must supervise toddlers at all times!)

There is a no smoking rule at all times in the house. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate pets.
